LIVE ILLUSTRATION
I am a live illustrator for academic conferences, industry and cultural events.
I record what is happening in real time during an event with live illustrations and sketchnotes, in English or French. These can be both analogue or digital and done in-person or remotely, drawn as a mural, projected or live streamed. Live illustration is the incarnation of active listening: it is dependant on what is happening and in turn influences the thinking process of the audience, thus creating a memorable experience of co-creation, amplifying people’s voices and making them feel happy. It offers a visual legacy of the event and keeps the momentum going.
I also explore how to expand my live illustration practice with creative technologies through various R&D projects.
Organisations I work for include: CARGO Classroom, Artes Mundi, British Heart Foundation, In Between Time, Theatre Bristol, Bristol Good Food, Citizens In Power, Sustrans, Knowle West Media Centre, the Centre For Disaster Protection, Chronic Poverty Advisory Network (CPAN), Institute of Development Studies (IDS), Culture Connect, the NHS, World Health Organisation, Citéco, University of Bristol, University of the West of England, University of the Arts London, the Young Foundation, ClearView Research, Bath Spa University, Royal College of Music, Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, University of Coventry, Kings College London, Watershed,…
